Lake Vyrnwy has more than just spectacular views to offer. There is fantastic food available in restaurants, pubs and cafes all in close proximity to the lake.

If you are in search of adventure canoeing, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, abseiling and archery are available to experience at the lake during your stay.

If motorised action is what you're after, guided trail riding tours are available local to the area to suit all levels of experience - about 30 mins by car.

Take a day trip to the glorious coastline of west Wales. Choose your destination from many including Barnmouth, Tywyn and Abersoch beaches. All are famous for their fantastic sandy beaches and outstanding cleanliness.

This is a perfect place for mountain bikers. Venture out from the farm and discover local forest and mountain trails - the natural terrain has it all to offer!

Also, about 45 mins away (by car) you will find Coed y Brenin. It is located within Snowdonia National Park and is superb place for you to hone your mountain biking skills.

Our wilderness setting in the heart of the Welsh countryside, provides an ideal home to many fascinating birds.  Your pitch and the surrounding environment provides the perfect setting for spotting the local wildlife. At night you can hear the local owl hoot!

There is also a fantastic RSPB reserve based at Lake Vyrnwy where their star species are Peregrine, Pied Fly Catcher, Redstart, Siskin and Wood Warbler.

Originally a medieval fortress, Powis Castle is a magnificent place to visit. Leave your dog with us and check out the paintings, sculptures and tapestries at the Clive Museum and be stunned by the beautiful gardens and deer park.

There are 3 steam railways in the local area - The Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway, and The Vale of Rheidol Railway, The Talyllyn Railway. Perfect for the train enthusiast or just a wonderful day out for the family!
